The Legal Picture

When a bicyclist is killed in a collision with a motor vehicle, what questions do families commonly have? Families often ask how a police crash investigation works, how long it can take, and what records, such as the official crash report, become available once it is complete. Michigan law sets deadlines for certain legal claims, so families who have questions about their options may wish to speak with a licensed attorney of their choosing.

This Stretch of Road

Ford Road is a major east-west route through Canton Township in Wayne County. Drivers and cyclists share the corridor, and bicyclists are among the most vulnerable road users in any collision with a motor vehicle.
