What Happened
A 23-year-old Zeeland man was airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries after a two-vehicle crash on Byron Road near the I-196 exit ramp in Zeeland Township late Monday, the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office said.
Deputies said a 22-year-old Grand Rapids man driving a Chevrolet Silverado with a trailer had exited I-196 and turned west onto Byron Road when the eastbound Porsche struck the pickup.
All four people in the Silverado, a 36-year-old man, a 20-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy along with the driver, ran from the scene on foot. They were later checked for minor injuries.
